VIRTUAL TOUR SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Most Virtual Tour companies have system requirements for viewing their virtual tours.  LA Virtual Tours is no different.  Below are a list of recommended plug-ins, browser settings, and system recommendations for optimum virtual tour performance.

The following items are required, or recommended, to view our virtual tours:

·. The Java Plug-in must be present in your web browser.  If your web browser (i.e. Microsoft Internet Explorer) does not have the Java Plug-in, the virtual tours will not display properly. By default, all NEW computers running Windows Vista or XP, DO NOT have the Plug-in installed for Internet Explorer!
Use the following links to test and download the Java Plug-in:

[ Click here to test your JAVA installation ]

[ Click here to download the JAVA plug-in]

Once the Java Plug-in is installed, you should have no problem viewing the tour using Windows Vista or Windows XP unless one of the following items below is not configured. Please continue below, if you are still experiencing problems.

·         Java Script must be enabled within your web browser.

·         Pop-up blockers should either be disabled all together or allowed for lavirtualtours.com ('Always allow popups for this site').  Please consult with your Windows XP SP2 documentation or your Third Party pop-up blocker software documentation.

·         It is recommended that you have an internet connection with speeds of 128 kbps or better.  Obviously the faster the Internet connection, the more pleasurable the viewing experience will be.  Slower Internet connections may experience a slow download of the virtual tour content.

·         We recommend a minimum VGA/SVGA/HDTV screen size of 800x600 dpi or better.

·         Some AOL browsers do not support the newer virtual tour technology.

JAVA INFORMATON

Java is a programming language created by Sun Microsystems.  Java is designed to run on any operating system and on most system platforms including Intel or Mac based systems.  Our virtual tours displayed from this web site rely on Java installed as a plug-in for your web browser.  If you web browser (i.e. Microsoft Internet Explorer) does not have Java installed, the virtual tours will not display properly.

If you have tried to view a virtual tour, and it does not appear, then most likely java is missing or not configured properly. Please verify that your web browser is java-enabled. Most browsers support java, including Netscape, Mozilla, Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari, but some installations don't automatically include it.
